I've some some great looking Mexican trucks that must do long haul.....

Just saying....Ive seen some worse USA trucks running around

Yeah I passed a brand new Mexican truck in WV a few months ago. It will probably keep running as it has for awhile where the bigger companies with the money for new equipment send their drivers up and the junk stays at the border. The question I have is how Canada is handling it. We were keeping it from being an issue for them.

I think Canada see this as one continent! One big trade zone.... a way to expand business into new markets...sure there are some draws backs and the usual paranoia , the usual protectionists...as long as it is made on this continent WE all share in the prosperity...

The real question is whether the Mexicans will be able to compete with the Russians.

Whether people like this or not it is part of NAFTA, which people seem to forget that we as a country agreed to in 1993.

Just so people know NAFTA was brought to you by Republicans and signed into law by a democrat, Bill Clinton. Without republicans voting yea we wouldn't have NAFTA. That said, in a couple of years or so I won't be worrying about NAFTA since I'll be out of this business.

NAFTA passed the Senate 61 to 38. Democrats were almost evenly split: 27 YEA, 26 NAY (and 1 not in attendance for the vote). Republicans voted for it by a larger margin: 34 YEA to 12 NAY.

NAFTA passed the House 234 to 200. House Democrats voted against it 156 to 102. Republicans supported it 132 to 43. The sole Independent—Bernie Sanders—voted against it

and yet we don't have true free trade.....we still have to deal with brokers and submit paperwork at border....that supplies 1,000's 10,000's of jobs.....in Europe they cross the borders unbothered with paperwork....what works for one country works for the next....none of this tariff crap and protectionist bull...

Doesn't matter who brought it to us... they're all politicians. There was that loud sucking sound, tho, that we were warned about.

The good ole days of Ross Perot. lol Oddly enough, he was right about quite a few things.

Politics is ruled by money. Very tough for a third party candidate to even compete at the level of the other two parties.
