Is Panterii going to buy TriState?

Fr8 Shaker I am Not trying for any popular vote and you need to quit being a person who attacks without provoacation. I know other companies farm out loads too. I was with Roberts express and then FedEx for 10 yrs, then Conway, then panther with the buyout and now Tri=State. All I quoted was what my friend at Conway who came back from vacation only to find them closed told me. The 2 people who knew were Michelle Potter and Lori Blaney. They were told not to tell anyone including dispatchers or they would not have a position on the regular Conway side. This is what was told to me by someone high up that worked inside Conway Now. Just plain old facts not trying to be popular! PERIOD!

First of all I'd like to say I wasn't ATTACKING you Bernie, and if it sounded that way I apoligize. I don't attack unless being attacked.
There are facts and there is hearsay. the 2 are not the same.
Yes I enjoyed running for Conway and I am sorry they are gone, I have moved on and always will. The memorys only come up when your getting screwed by another companys policy. One that isn't as good as what you had. I am sure that memorys come up for anyone that has been in this business a while everytime they get a load offer and see what it is paying compared to what it used to. I've always said that this is the only industry that I know of ( trucking ) where we take a pay cut every year.
As far as attacking you, I guess i could have worded my response differently. I was tried when I wrote it. Again I apoligize.

lol...cris and redhotxpress you think I was angry? I was simply stating some stuff that my wife and I witnessed and experienced ourselves and was also told. and also making a joke about the "stupid logo" as stated by simon says. People can come on here and say any bad thing they want about panther but as soon I say anything about a company no longer around and I get pounced on!

Here are my experiences! feel free to heap some more negative ratings on me if you feel the need.
While out on the road we met up with 5 van drivers from conway at the same dropoffs we were at! We stopped to talk to them and welcome them to Panther. 2 of those drivers even went so far as to turn away as I offered to shake their hand. I tried talking to a few more to no avail. Then we met the 2 couples at seville and only one of those couples were friendly to us. So 1 out of the 6 drivers we met were nice. Does that stop me from talking to them...no! does it stop me from being nice to ex conway drivers? no!
Then i come on here and try to explain my experiences and get bashed! Does it make me want to stop coming on here? YES!!
And Moot as you asked about my Avatar...I picked it because I didnt have one and I didnt see anyone else with it until about 2 days after i picked it. Funny thing is...I never got any notice on here until I picked it, and the two people I mentioned above somehow thought i was mad, maybe my posts coupled with my avatar led them to believe I was an angry person, which I'm not. I have no clue I guess. I'll just go back to lurking in the shadows and keep my mouth shut.

I get tired of the company I work for getting bashed constanly. I make a better living now than I have in any other job I have ever worked, including 10 yrs working in a nursing home. so I make a
"tongue in cheek" comment and then I get bashed.
I wasn't coerced into signing with this company I wasn't lied to or misled! if anything I have been extremely sucsessful and look forward to buying my own truck and putting it on with Panther.
I sincerely appologize if I offended anyone as that was not my intention!

I heard that TS was going to buy Panther out? That way they could starve the people currently with TS more Why else do they continue to take on new trucks from Panther and everybody else that comes to them when they are fed up with their carriers and say they are starving from their current carrier? I thought that there was a freeze on the vans but only if they aren't whining. that is why we don't have more than enough loads to cover our vehicles currently on at TS now because they keep adding whining contractors from other carriers. My solutions to all of this, TS should put a freeze on every type vehicle and concentrate on keeping the current vehicles running instead of sitting most of the time that way our customers would get a lot better service because the drivers would be more apt to take all loads instead of just long runs because they would be making money. After all the customer is first! Then TS would be happy, the drivers would be happy, and we all would have money coming into our pockets instead of just a few select. They wouldn't have to charge a 5% admin fee for advances then. It is a known fact that rich get richer and the greedy get greedier!

Yep, yep: always too many trucks, and everyone who thinks they can survive in this biz, is (after getting laid off) coming on into the water. However, the Road patrol wizard told me they lost a bunch of trucks over the last few months. Jan & Feb will do that in any year. So- not to contradict myself, they ALL put on too many trucks, but when people refuse good loads, who is to blame most? I stay busy because I go where others do not tread.
These discussions also help when one tells what he drives. You vans, I'm sorry to say, are becoming dinosaurs. IF I wanted a van, I would do local courier work, and forget this non-existence lifestyle.
