We usually get out of AZ without too much problem. On the Florida stuff, if you can only haul 5,000lbs. that certainly is an issue. Even more reason to head north. Forget about Orlando with that restiction. Head north where the loads are lighter. LTL loads out of Florida are generally heavier than that, that pay anything decent.
I wouldn't waste my time on .30 cents a mile.
I would have went with the EM to Atlanta with that kind of restriction.

I would advise adding a tag or pusher axle because of your exact problem. If you go into unproductive areas, that is a necessity. With your limitation of 5,000 lbs, I wouldn't have ever went to FL. without return money out.
