Do lot of Deliveries around Detroit area but appears my company has a hard time getting a load out of there, luckly I live in Dayton, OH and they get me loads prety fasy out of there, hate 200 mile DH but better than sitting couple days.

I believe most of it has to do with the company you run with. I live in Detroit and every time I get a load going home on a weekend, I always get out on Monday. For example, took a load Friday out of Rochester, NY to drop sat morning at 06:00, after I dropped I was #6 on the board, I went home, enjoyed my weekend and got out yesterday at 18:00 and Now I'm sitting #1 in Roanoke.

Don't know if that is true or not because I don't run for the big cat. I run for the "Tri-bars".

We run for the "Big Cat" and we usually DH to Toledo.

Did you ever think that maybe your company does not have the contacts in Detroit??

They are on same board that Panther/Tri State/others used for auto industry. 95% of our loads are for top 3 auto makers

Detroit is hit and miss for me. Sometimes I end up sitting at home nearly a week more than I wanted to. Sometimes they get me out the day I go back on the board. This week was weird. They actually called me before I wanted to go back on the board. Rather than risking sitting until Wed or Thurs, I took it. Can't argue with a 560 miler to start out the week.

It's that 95% of your loads being mostly NLMI freight that's the problem, especially in Detroit. It's not just Panther/Tri State or the other large-ish carriers that are the problem, it's the plethora of small mom and pop or single-vehicle operations consisting of former auto workers living in Detroit that bid low to get a lot of that freight. There are far more daily NLMI loads out of Detroit than Panther has vehicles in its entire fleet, for example, much less than the number of loads that Panther can get covered with available trucks in the area, so to try and blame low bidding on this or that carrier is an exercise in futility. More likely, your carrier's sales force would rather click, click, click the NLMI boards than pick up the phone or <gasp> go visit places to drum up new business. That's not a knock on your carrier, either, as much as it's a knock on most carriers, Meow Mix included.

But, I'm with Panther and I run an awful lot of stuff out of Detroit that is not NLMI or automotive freight.
