Hello
We have couple of vans with Panther. The last two weeks have been verry bad for us. How are other companies doing with cargo vans?

Just speaking for our straights I would say just as busy but the length of haul has been a little less this week. If I look at the whole first quarter which isn't quite over, it has been outstanding.

This has been the best 1st quarter for us since before Roberts Express changed the name.

You really need to take lessons from Turtle..he is a master out west...there IS freight out there IF you are willing to wait for a couple days.

I waited in Idaho once for a couple of days, never had anything pan out so I don't wait around out west anymore

I did a macro 8 last night in South Bend, Indiana and within 300 miles I counted 87 available vans with 79 daily avg on loads. This was including the Romulus, Chicago Akron, and several other boards.

I was stuck in Nogales,AZ for 4 days, stuck in El Paso for 5 days,2 days in Chicago,so I deadheaded home, now at home since last Friday morning, because my owner doesnt want to pay me after being out for 3 weeks. So Monday he called the carrier he is leased with and tells them,NOT ME,that I will be out of service for two days. I called the carrier and they told me this.I'm like WTF? Yesterday I called my owner,he never called me back last night, rather he sends me a text message Tuesday morning that he is with his mother at the hospital...Ok,but where is my settlement? I went to the bank,Nothing there yet.......Guess who's getting their van back? I called the carrier again and notified them what is going on,because they want to know when I'm going back in service.

The problem isn't with Panther. The problem he has is with the fleet owner. Panther has nothing to do with that.

Yep. Just because it's slow with one name on the truck doesn't mean the whole business tanks in January. Glad you are now able to find out how the "other half" lives.

:D

Either they were all sitting at home, or everyone is afraid to take a load outside of "expediter land."
