Investigations and accounts receivables

I wanted to introduce myself to the group, my name is John Brewington and I am a licensed Private Investigator. As such I and my creditor’s rights attorney partners are pretty involved in the trucking industry in terms of accounts receivable collections and providing intelligence reports on companies and people. We are very experienced in Title 49, tariffs, pricing agreements etc.

I am a double veteran, member of the American Legion, Legion Riders and the Patriot Guard Riders. You will find that I am very happy to help you locate people that you are looking for or just answer general question for free so long as it is not too time consuming. I have databases that allow me access to information that is astounding.

John:

On behalf of my fellow veterans and drivers, we thank you for your offer of gratis help to locate people that our members might be looking for or just answer general question for free so long as it is not too time consuming.

We normally don't allow advertising by vendors in these forums, but a little networking in exchange for a free helping hand is always welcomed by many of us. Thanks for the offer and I hope one or more of our members can find some value in your services.

Carriers run background checks on all drivers and fleet owners have access to some of that information as provided by the carrier. What help might a PI be able to give a driver who wants to check out a fleet owner before signing on the dotted line and how much would it cost?

Most information on a owner is a matter of public record, with regards to judgements and pending lawsuits. The rest should come from current and former drivers. It might be of value if someone wants to look at their credit history and that type of thing. Still a free internet service.
The other value would be for owners to look at drivers with poor driving records. Not all accidents are reported, and a review of insurance claims might provide additional information. Additional work background and credit history may as well play a value. After all, the owner has alot more financially invested than the driver.
Something to consider.

I would be very hesitant to give information about myself to some person who comes out of the blue, and thats whats it's all about. He will want your DL #,address, possibly SS number in order to find out information that you requested. Most counties in the US have public websites where you can see if a individual had leins or judgements against them. You usually have to navigate to the Court Clerks portion of the county involved and go from there Criminal activies are not a matter of public record but civil actions can be seen.

I feel the same way as Rich. What is a matter of public record I think is fair game. I personally would have no interest in providing my drivers license number or SS number to a "potential" driver.
As an owner, I would be essentially providing the contract to a "potential" team, not the other way around.

Since Mr John Brew offerred to be of assistance in helping locate people, how about if I be the guinea pig here, and give him someone, like, say, an old boyfriend, to locate? Then we could see if he's the real deal, huh?

A poster at clarkhoward.com was very upset people could find info on him at this site . www.zabasearch.com . He tried to get the site to remove his name but it's all public info and available on more sites than he'd want to know .

I am happy to help by providing information for "free". No catch no secrets. I make my money from the law firm that represents the transporation industry.

Background checks can be misleading and I find they are not thorough. For example in my county anyone can look up public records such as criminal and civil suits but that only covers this county. The databases I have for the most part cover the entire US but you have to know how to use it.

So if you are looking for an old sweetheart, brother or if your daughter is dating someone you need a reason to hate, I can give it to you.

Again....it cost nothing.

It is very good to be cautious. Information is a double edged sword for good or for bad. I don't need or want personal information. For the most part a name is all I need. By law I am not allowed and absolutaly refuse to provide private information such as social security numbers or anything that would facilitate a crime such as identity theft.

As a private investigator I am licensed through the Arizona Department of Public Safety and have FBI background checks etc. Again if anyone is looking for private information I will not give it. If I think public information is going to be used for bad intent I will not give it.

Just some information about this quote. There is what I find to be a disturbing trend of websites out there that post information that has no validity or has no substance of the truth. They use the term consumer rights yet that masks their intent.

Some people are very concerned about their name being on the internet. Prospective employers are doing more and more about checking the internet that might depict a persons lifestyle. For example one company was looking for a CFO and found via the internet that he frequented online gambling sites. Myspace profiles are accessable to the public. Sometimes people put pictures or say things that are embarressing that they regret later.

Companies are springing up that are for hire (Reputation Defender)that will scan the internet with robots to find anything written about you and give you the option to delete it. They then give you a choice on whether you want to delete this information. This is true only for things like libel, pictures, things of a personal nature. Public record like law suits, criminal convictions will not be delted. Newpaper articles will not be either. Blogs can be handled and forums like this can be handled. Not free or easy so the moral of the story is if you don't want to be found, don't post anything in public. There is also recent law that suggests using an alias to post or send emails is illegle.

A great deal of my work is chasing criminals. One guy is listed on Utahs Sex Offender Registry. He had a Myspace profile that had many "friends" that were minor females. Some of the girls left enough information on their profiles that I knew what school they went to and was able to contact her coach to let him know she was being stalked. The police brought in her parents and her profile was deleted and Myspace deleted the stalker's.

Criminals are very creative. I don't need much information to know who your neighbors are, your relatives, assets etc. It is a criminals job to get the same info on you. Sorry for the posts but it looks like there are some questions and concerns. That's a good thing.

So if I am looking for a new sweetheart I'm out of luck? Remember don't tell 1122 where I am.

I could look up massage parlors for you if you wanted but that wouldn't be creative.
