I haven't used that brand but one thing about inverters. You really have to be careful what you buy because of fires and burning up appliances. I used to get mine from a guy in Canada that builds them. He does the sign wave deal safe for computers. I'll have to look up his name and address later. He does sell on E-bay but does a great job with all electronics. He's a retired electrical engineer. That's something you can't get your money back on if it goes bad a month down the road. More later.
It might be fine, but a couple of things give me pause. One, in the description he compares the quality of this inverter to that of the uber high quality Vector, the Gold Standard. The problem with that is, on the Gold Standard Top 100 List, Vector is about 87 places down.
Also, he states that it's made with only the highest quality components, yet the specs show a no-load draw of nearly 3 amps, which screams cheap circuit boards, capacitors and resistors.
use caution dealing with The Inverter Store out of Reno, Nv.
It cost me around $90.00 to return an Aims pure sine wave inverter which was defective...they charged me a 20% restocking fee...restocked a faulty unit?...Their tech guy said to return it...then I had to pay shipping and insurance on top of it all.
A bad place to do business with for sure....they got me once and I swore I'd inform everyone of their lousy business practices....You've been warned.
