Introduction from Newbie

Hi everyone,

I want to introduce myself as I have been lurking long enough :p.

Hubby and I have only driven T/T OTR and only as company drivers for 4 years. We will now be signing on with Panther, driving for a Fleet Owner in T/T. We go to orientation Sept. 15th.

We are both looking forward to it greatly. We are doing our research and hopefully can run this business properly. It seems to be a world away from just being a company driver. More *stuff* to know about and deal with. ;)

We have found who we feel is a great fleet owner to work with and he put us in touch with some of his other teams and hopefully we can pick someone's brains when help is needed.

We are both excited about all of this and looking forward to being in the Expedite side of things!

Welcome aboard! With four years of driving experience behind you, you already know what it is like to use a truck stop, deal with scale cops, keep log books, etc. People with no experience have to learn that AND the rest of the self-employed expediter tasks.

Give yourself a pat on the back for those four years. Your learning curve is not as steep as it would be for someone who has not done what you have. I hope you find expediting to be to your liking and a great career move.

Thank you so much to all of you who replied to my intro!

You all seem so willing to help and answer questions. That is much appreciated on this end. ;)

Today hubby and I are filling out our SF86 (National Security Questionnaire) and what a nightmare of a form that is!!!

We promised we'd get it back to recruiting by tomorrow morning. Yikes! It's a job and a half to fill out!

You won't hear from me for awhile...LOL!

Seriously, thanks for the welcome!!
