HELLOOOO everyone!!

I Have been reading this forum for a while very informative! Thanks for all the information.

I am going to look at a 2002 Freightliner sprinter with 172k miles. It is the 2500 high ceiling EB. Its setup as an RV. Every indication I have so far is that it has been taken care of. Asking 9800. I negotiated down to 9k without even looking at it in person. If everything checks out tomorrow. I may just be forced to buy it. Well any thoughts or words of wisdom?? Be gentle!!!

I may or may not use it for expediting always wanted one.

Will they let you run in a 2002 sprinter?? it only has 172k I might just leave it as an RV. But after all the reading I have done. I am definitely intrigued by what you guys do. I think I might like it if I can hack it HAaaahahahaha.

If it was set up as an rv, was it originally a passenger model? Not sure but it might give you a hit on your weight capacity.

most companies won't put on a unit that is to old as it would have to be replaced to soon i would go with newer one
or brand new and that will have warranty on it
or drive for someone first

most companies only able to keep for 5 model years

well apparently try hours is Ok with an 02. But I did not purchase it. It just didnt seam right too many question marks. I actually didnt even drive it. Maybe I'll see another one. I wish I had the budget for a new one. I wouldnt mind driving for someone else just to get my feet wet. Just havent found anyone yet.

Welcome to EO I have been driving a 2002 Sprinter for an owner at Landstar since November, it has almost 600k miles on it and seems to run good. Would like to buy it but not able to afford to buy a van at this time hopefully before the end of year will be able to buy one.

just wondering why you were looking at that particular truck. was it price? low miles? the fact it was an rv and had the bells and whistles for comfort? sometimes price alone can lead to just, well, more money being spent.
