Good one Witness. Great song but I doubt there's much love for Bono and U2 on this forum. Rattle and Hum - great album! I'm a sucker for Angel of Harlem in a big way. On my way to youtube.
Heard of the names, never heard a thing they ever did, most likely would not want too. Can't hear much of music anymore anyway so I guess it really does not matter, now does it?

You're hurting on the hearing front too? That completely sucks. Few things bug me as much as not being able to hear as well as I used to.
In case you're genuinely interested. Rattle & Hum is an interesting album (imho) because it's a little like Abbey Road, it's stuff that was left over from previous efforts with some new stuff thrown in. An extra twist is that approx half the album was live and the rest studio.
The first time I heard the song Witness posted I was in my car listening to a religious dude on the radio who referred to the song as a modern day hymn. I'm not kidding.
It does have a little of that going on in my opinion. Other songs on the album I really like are Angel Of Harlem - a homage to Billie Holiday and All I Want Is You, which imho is special because the vocals capture the flavor of an old time C&W tune, but the repeating guitar riff is out of place and somehow works. U2 in their prime in this man's opinion.

My "government" work, mainly the part in the military. toasted my hearing. No coming back. Each year, when my DOT is due, I get more and more worried. I could pass the hearing part with my hearing aids, but in the truck they make things worse. They are like "glasses". IF you need them to pass they go on your drivers license and you have to use them.
Speaking of Billie Holiday, I once spent an evening listening to a VERY old black piano player, in his early 90's at the time, who used to tour with her. MAGIC evening to say the least.
Not all that big into more modern music. The only U2 I know about was flown by guys like Gary Powers. I got out of the music business, for the most part, in 1970
