The Fraternal Order of Police, Rep. Linda Lawson, a former police officer and Democrat from Hammond, Kendallville Police Chief Rob Wiley and Steve Buschmann of the Indiana State Police Alliance all opposed McMillin's the committee's version of the bill.

They said individuals will struggle to know when an officer is entering a home legally or illegally.

The last line is just killer. That's the argument against the Bill. Holy crap. If officers weren't routinely entering homes illegally, there would be no mental struggle to figure it out. Sheesh.

They feel that they have a 'RIGHT' to enter homes illegally. They are 'control officers'.

Exactly. The remedy is "don't do that."

Think the penalty for dealing crack is too stiff? Don't do it, then you don't have to worry about it.

Worried the bank guard will shoot you while you rob it? Don't do that, then you don't have to worry about it.

Worried that citizens might shoot you if you oppress them? Don't do that, then you don't have to worry about it.

Already, the D12 is upset about the prospects this might pass. Unfortunately, I predict it will fail. Too few people value liberty.

You know the problem with bad cops? They make the other 5% look bad.

It is not the criminals fault that they are criminals. It is the fault of hard working, law abiding citizens. They work hard, earn money and buy things that those who cannot afford them, because they are too lazy to work, and then they are forced to steal them to insure their self esteem.

Any attempt to protect your family, property, home etc is considered BAD BAD BAD! Every one should be a 'proper victim' .
