I'm putting together a complete list of truck stops for an add-in for MS streets & Trips.
Could you please send me the complete name, address, state, zip for the stops you frequent. (not intersections, but physical addresses)

Thank You in advance

Not many of us would likely have info that detailed. I couldn't tell you even one address. Try copying the info from a truckstop guide while you layover. A google search of your favs might turn up a few addresses. T/A and Flying J just list intersections, online

Terry;
Like me, if you get recipts when you fuel up, it is on there.

ps pilot is the only one on line that gives complete addresses.

At the Flying J web site you click the "location map". Click on the "state". Click on one of the locations and all the J's for that state come up. Click on "additional info" and the physical address comes up.

Haven't tried the others 'cause I always look for a van friendly J.

Most fuel receipts show the address also.

you can find different lists somewhere on the Great Gore Super Highway.

I used a couple list that I found to create a big spreadsheet with a list of truckstops that I used to map things out with MS S&T, which is a big mess now.

T/A and Pilot has longitude/latitude listing but T/A's list is a big mess and I can't see why there is a T/A truckstop in the middle of JFK runways.

Also I have never got my questions answered by the S&T development team but I am trying to find out what is needed to add things like truckstops and express centers (I also added all of those in my saved FedEx map) in one package that is more base map related instead of a saved map. I have at times had problems with the Express center 'zones' dominating the focus opposed to the stop mapped out.

John,
I got all my truckstop info from each site.
As stated some of their excel documents are a mess. However, I did manage to make my own excel docs from these.
Let me know and I can email them to you. They have been a wonderful help to us.

I figured you'd find prebuilt files better than assembling them one by one.

Even a better way to build data files is using a POI Points Of Interest Database/searchengine

http://www.poi2go.com/poi2go/

The above site will do all the work for you and produce a .txt file

Search anything you want by name.

I made these using the poi2go site. Made the little icons that show up on the screen too.

I use a PPC like the one below
