ok.... im in carisle pa now......
my owner wanted me to get out of ct....... hell i wanted out of there too
just did not want to spend the fuel.
anyways.........
i made a pit stop aroundf... 50 miles north of here on 81 .. and checkd the boards..... it put as being 5th on the boards with like 8 loads daily..... it had me on the reading pa board.
soooooo i came further a lil bit to carisle.... and it now has me 2nd with 10 loads daily.
hmmmmmmmm
now over in the pitts burger area...... its showing me 8 loads daily and 0 trucks..... and 0 enroute.. and i been debating if i should go a lil bit further and hang there instead.
cause seems like there r a lot of trucks over in this corner.

Well I am back in Houston and roasting. I had a great nice wind when I pulled into the spot with a heavy haul flatbed sitting next to me and a bobtail on the other side, thinking I would get better nights sleep tonight - supposed to get down to 78:) Well now I have a moving trailer next to me blocking 80% of the wind.

I wish I was there........

sometimes i feel like i am in twilight zone here......
i was 2nd on the boards here..... with 10 loads daily out of here...
sooo that it says anyways.......
and early this morning im now 1st..... with 12 loads a day ......
sooooooooo if there is that many loads out of here daily .....and its 8 30 .
WHY AM I STILL HERE!!!!
this makes me wanna scream

Are you able to call them and ask, and tell them how long you've been in the general area without any real freight?

I've been laid over many times in carlisle ......... and summer time is teh time they have the huge car shows if your into all that. I know if I was there right now I'd roll about 20-30 mins south and see a freind in chambersburg,pa. the petro there in carlisle its (north of pilot )the best place I think to be stuck in, nice lounge and stuff. Be glad yoru not stuck in the truckstop on 81 in shippensburg,pa not much to it, pretty run down. if you head south on 81 watch your *** from 77 toll (esp just getting off ) been pulled in for dot insp. 2 times there and they are running a saftey program south of 77 on 81 down to the pa boarder there ....... I have a trooper freind I could have stop by and say hi if you'd like ........... hate for you to get lonely and all that.

hello smokin...... ok ummm thats ok.... im not that lonely...
i am at the pilot.... next to the petro..... and hopfully will be out of here today.
i have art stuff i carry with me . have some art projects i need to get done....
and this lap top .... with a lot of on line buddies .... and games.... movies...
i watch tv shows i missed....
and right now i am gonna pick up stuff around in my truck,
i been driving for almost 6 yrs now.....
3 yrs with panther
2 yrs with my present owner...
i already went thru a couple inspections driving here down 81 ...
anyways ty for the offer.

You've been around there since............ Friday, right???? With only one shorty load between then and now??? And you've been first out on the boards.. ??? And you're still there???? Man, I would cut my losses and get the heck outta there!!!! How far would you have to go to be in a good-freight place???

ha.. no no no... i was up in CT near Mass area snce fri.....
i just got to carisle last nite......
this is suppose to be a good frieght place.........but so far a lot of loads r going bk that way east.....
maybe i should of kept going west..... to pitts or into ohio even last nite.... :(
i just didnt want to spend my owners fuel .....

Hi well all I can say Is that every time I was In Carisle,I always got out pretty quick.For me Its always been pretty go expect most of the loads from there always went back to the NE area which I hated...Good Luck...

With C&M, I usually got out of New England after a day or two at most. I figure because too many didn't want to do New England to begin with, thus leaving us with the freight.

Do you or your owner pay for fuel? Cause that was a bit of a chunk of change to move out of somewhere that isn't hard to get loaded from.

he pays for fuel.....
and i sat with no load offers ....for several days..... so my owner told me to get out of there..... and so ooo i did.....
i do my best to conserve fuel .... for my owner..... the fleet owner i work for treats me well...... soo i tend to try to do my best in return.

I just arrived in CT a couple hours ago and I'm staying put until I get something. It's a lot cooler than it was in Texas. I think because so many people avoid coming up here that I always seem to get good runs out of here and I get them for a good rate too. Patience is a virtue. I'm at a Pilot close to New Haven, exit 40 off I-95. I think I'm going back to sleep for now. I didn't get much sleep between Dallas and here.

yeah I was playing around with ya ..... he's a nice guy anyways ... I have always had a load out of carlisle before my 10 hr break was up ..... well usually that is. Not a badd place to be stuck lots of history around there. I usually have my ps2 and lots of games and a collection of hot rod mags to read. Keeps my mind occupied at least.
I was in expedite two years thinking of getting back into it. It wasn't bad at all. :rolleyes:I saw alot of the us this side of colorado at least.

welp im still here.... was 1st on the boards.........
BUT now im second...... cause of someone coming in with a 1st out.......
i miles well hang it up....... no loads in a week.....
maybe i need to quit..... i cant live by just hangin around the truck stops waiting on nothing..... this sucks big time.
