I printed up a little card. No bigger then my SS card. It has my next of kin cell & work #. The fact I am an organ donor, have a living will, next of kin has Durable power of Attorney, no extraordinary attempts, do not resuscitate. Also my Attorneys name & office #. Laminated four of them. One in each rig with registration, one in my wallet and one in a pocket pad I keep in my shirt pocket or on the dash.;)

wow there BC u b covered .lol PS where do keep ur beer, just kiddin.

I figure that if I die in the sleeper, I won't be found by the smell because the cat will eat my body before it gets to that point. :p I want to be cremated, ashes placed in an open container, strapped to a truck's running board. Just let me keep running the roads. I'm not even picky which interstate. ;)

If I'm not mistaken, can't you get health insurance threw them as well??

I know some people who couldn't afford the cremation, so the body was donated to a medical school. After the school did what they do to cadavers, the cremated remains were returned to the family free of charge.

I carry a urn and a letter of instructions stating that I wish to be creamated and have my ashes placed in the urn. The urn should then be sent to the Russian womens vollyball team so I can become their mascot.

I'm pretty sure my will states that my ashes are to be brought to the nearest IRS office, complete with flour sifter and goggles.

You can also have your creamation remains used to help form a "starter" coral reef.
I am having a hard time getting my family on board with me, but I think burial is a horrific practice in it's present form. No preservatives needed, just put me in a pine box in the ground. There are "natural cemetaries" where they do just that, most are partially wooded plots and maybe a rock is used as a "headstone".
I love the idea of donation to a medical school, too :)

Maybe someone will remember Im a veteran and go from there.

Cremation is ok with me,a friend of mine recently died, the funeral was 10,000 bucks and that was cheap, let ur family save money , ur dead, go cremation, and save ur family money IMHO>

What a scam these funeral people have going, based on guilt, appearances, keeping up with the Joneses, etc. You won't necessarily save a lot of money by being cremated, it's all in the 'presentation'. 'Preparing the body for viewing', presenting a beautiful casket so others will know how much the dearly departed was loved. Wherever there's a buck to be made, funeral homes are making sure they're getting it in this multi billion dollar business based on emotions at a most vulnerable time.

Pay for your pine box and your wishes ahead of time so your family isn't pressured by guilt to purchase more expensive things when the time comes.

That's all it takes. It's not that hard. 10 grand is an expensive funeral, not a cheap one. It can be done for much less. My instructions are to cremate me ASAP after I assume room temperature. My friends and family are then instructed to have a get together involving the consumption of more than a moderate quantity of their favorite beverage, make fun of and laugh at my short comings, then throw my ashes in the air and let the wind blow them away.

Oh... well, I don't even fish when it's nice out. I'm sure not gonna freeze my sizable posterior to do it.

In Missouri, the cost was I believe $25.00 for a permit and you can be Buried on your own land.:p The only requirement is a fence has to be built around the plot. Although you may get away with some cattle panels in a pinch.
