Absolutely not. That sounds like a banana republic. It sounds more like Khadaffy or Castro. It goes against the spirit of the principle of civilian control of the military. It restricts the right of those who didn't serve. And if the nation decides that we should have a pacifist president, then that's what we get.

Your idea goes against what this country stands for.

Actually maybe it should be the opposite - anyone who serves does not get to run.
