I69 extension

I'm trying to figure out how I69 is being extended. There are signs saying 'Future I69 corridor' on the Pennyrile and Purchase Parkways in KY and on US51 in TN, so they must be extending 69 from Indy to Memphis. I assume they're going to build a new road from Indy to Evansville since there's no road on that stretch yet?
I'm pretty sure that I also saw 'Future I69' signs on US281 from McAllen, TX to I37. Are they going to run 69 from McAllen to Memphis, so eventually 69 will go from McAllen all the way to Port Huron, MI? From McAllen they'll run it north on 281, then I'm guessing they'll use US59 to Houston, stay on 59 to Texarkana, but then what? Spend a few billion $ to make a new road from Texarkana to Memphis, or just run it along I30 and I40?

Recently I took US78 from Birmingham to Memphis, and there were signs saying 'Future I22 corridor.' Will that be all of it, or will they extend it past those 2 cities?

A few months ago I saw signs on another US route somewhere saying Future Interstate Corridor, but I can't remember where it was. Anyone know?

I know IN is getting extended from Indianapolis to Evansville.

US-59 and 77 in TX is designated Future I-69... at least south of Houston. 59 runs from Texarkana to Laredo. Then 77 runs from Brownsville north toward I-35. I'm guessing it'll go US-77 from Brownsville to Beeville (or therebouts), then switch to 59 up to Texarkana.

Other than IN and TX, I don't know where they're routing it. One of the sites I checked has it going thru IN, KY, TN, MS, LA, AR, and TX. But there weren't any maps.

Those signs have been there longer than I have been running. I remember seeing them in 2004.

Go to the "merchandise" links. I like the thong. Gonna get Cheri one of those for Christmas, I think. Maybe she'll give us a full report of what it's like driving around the country with a string of dental floss up... well, you know.

It really doesn't matter. By the time that highway is done we will all be driving wheelchairs.
