I think Greg334 may be on to something.I've hauled totes in the past, and the sloshing can be downright dangerous.Containers of liquid are rarely if ever filled to the brim, allowing for expansion. So even from a standing start, the turn may have been just enough to start 'em rockin and rollin. It probably isn't a securement issue at all.

Yes, liquid is the issue. I used to haul Anhydrous Ammonia for a local Ag supply dealer. Talk about a top heavy load, (smooth bore tanks also)

We had to creep around any sharp corners.

I would look into the airbags and the liquid problems, both could have added to the problem. I have felt liquid in totes moving from time to time. They are a pain. Layoutshooter

I will say this about Pete. He is a very good Driver and started out in this business working for me and then got his own truck. Pete I fill you did everything right when it comes to this load. You ask them to load your load totes side by side and they told you that the best way to load it was down the middle. As far as you speeding turning into the Flying J. Anyone that has been in this business for sometime or has drove an Fl 70 Freightliner with a 3126 Cat knows you can't hit 30 mph in 1st gear from a dead stop with 10000 lbs on or even empty.

Tanks Dreamer for the memory jogging. Seems like eons ago but, I used to pull 40 footer tubes (no baffles) with 44K of liquid nitrogen. About 55% full to the farm boys in Iowa. Now that is a critter to be recond with. The more I consider this delima, I can't imagine how four skids at 10K could possibly tip a truck on it's side, simply pulling into a fuel stop even IF a suspension bag failed. I AM really getting perplexed. And, no wonder safety is looking up someones nose. Hey!!
