i am writing a letter and want to know is it possible to know if the reciever of this email opens up this email like a reciept send to back to my email so i know they did recieve it
please let me know asap . Before i send it sorry to ask here but cannot think anywhere else to ask this importance question to get a quick answer

Look under options it should be there and click it.

You can ask for a read receipt - but the receiver MUST authorize it. When you generated the email - you needed to add that request in at that time....and now I'll be moving this to the support forum.

I can request it with Thunderbird and MS's stuff but I don't think I can with yahoo or gmail.

Many email readers won't pop up with a flag that asks if you want to respond to a read request but a few do.
