I need a job

I am looking for a good fleet owner to work with. Where I am now I make so little money. And if I am going to go out for 2 to 3 weeks straight I want to get paid. Truck problems, mostly its finding a good co-driver. I live in North Ohio East of Toledo, 30 years old, with all the endorsements, Class A, and I'm already FedEx Custom Critical approved ever since August 29th 2005. I perfer to do the 20% over the 64%. If you are in need of another person to run teams or have any questions please contact me by e_mail at [email protected]

Thank you..

Just a little curious as to what constitutes a good co-driver in your opinion, as well as a good fleet owner. From what I can gather you have been getting paid 64% of the gross, which is above the standard of 60%, also you have evidently been working for CC so why making so little money ?? Like I said, just a little curious.

Why so little money;

Driving teams, split 64% and getting the fuel charge as well 100% back split 50/50. Why not making money...Might have something to do with peoblems with the truck..qual-com..major repairs..shorts..abs..the list can go on and on...every week seems something else goes wrong..and to add to this..seeing I'm new with the experditing..picking the loads...owner said we can refuse 8 out of the 10 offered loads and still keep our % that we need...I try to get the most paying miles....and as always so far..finding a another driver who is not, always talking badly..about Fedex..missing their family..this is my last run...etc..etc..so this is the reason why I'm not making any good money. I figure if I'm willing to be away from home weeks at a time, $1,100 for 3 weeks is not going to cut it. Running by myself, is a night mare when it comes to me paying all the fuel, the out come is I'm short at the end..For this reason, I perfer the 20%.

Let me get this straight.You think you can refuse 8 out of !0 loads and still be ok? I think not.If you turn it around to accepting 8 out of 10 loads it would be about right.

I think the owner told them they could refuse 8 of 10 and still get their percentage. Not good advice from an owner, at least in my opinion.

More than likely the owner said accept 8 out of 10 and you ll be alright, which would be true. Its a little hard to imagine an owner telling a driver he only needs to accept 20% of loads offered.
