I have 3 questions for you.

1. IF a h/w were your owners that you drive for,the husband stays at home, let's say in the Southwest, and the wife runs expedite in a cargo van.The husband gets the paperwork from the expedite company,BUT is not smart enough (and he drove a straight truck for many years )to do the paperwork for payroll,at home,he then calls his wife while she is over the road, with the payroll information,so she can pay the driver. If these owners didn't pay you,for the a couple weeks especially at Christmas, and told you just take money off the Comdata card, would you still run for this owner? Thus never sending any settlements sheets to you,in the mail,or faxing them to you, until 3 weeks after you quit?
2.Wouldn't it be better for an owner to insulate a van, themselves, instead of making the driver do it,or making the driver find someone to do it? This van had a bed and thats it.Call me a complainer, that's fine. But hook up your driver,if you want to keep running and happy.Geez !
If an owner and her husband were at a expedite company for 8 years, seems to me they would have some pull to keep their drivers running. The wife gets 1500 miles a week in a van,but the driver gets under 900,what's wrong with that picture? If you can't hook up your drivers, why have them? And why track their every move, and tell them ?Leave them alone. Just my thoughts !

You allready answered the question. They (you) quit. Some people are not smart enough to do payroll. No pay info for runs completed would have me concerned thou. More than one person trying to make a living off of a van would be real tuff.

Agree with Jim here. Getting paid, and ON TIME, is of upmost concerne of mine an owner, and also as a Contractor I want consistancy when it comes to my money and a clear cut detailed report showing everything.

If they do not keep this than you need to and fax it to them every week one day prior or two to pay day. With what you described this is a diasaster waiting to happen. Your frustrations are only going to build to a boiling point, leave before you blood pressure tells you so.
