That was my thought exactly.

The more important question is this;
Seeing you didn't make any bones about how you got where you are, if you saw what I saw, would you call FedEx immediately and report them?
At age 57 and counting, I rarely get surprised at things I come across.
But, over the past two years of over the road driving, I have more than once been caught off guard, by what has been described to me as an "experienced team" manuever.
Yep, I am talking about the "rolling switch" the "moving driver swap" or "suicide move #1" (as I call it).
Naive I may be, but I see no reason for this ever to happen.
I would not expect anyone to admit to practicing this highly
unsafe manuever and think their carrier would retain them.
All I can hope is that everyone who practices this stupid trick
gets caught and their CDL revoked for being a moron.
Suspending them couldnt happen fast enough to help keep our roads a little safer.
The hundreds of things that could potentially go wrong as two
drivers vie for control of the wheel scare the hell out of me from ever even considering doing a bonehead thing as that.
I saw It Being Done One Time down by Dallas a Couple of Years Ago, It took me And my Co-Driver completely by Surprise! The Truck was Leased Onto a Well Known Expediting Company. Unfortunatley for them the Texas State Patrol Also seen it and Stopped them..I Don't know what the outcome was But you Can Rest Assured they didn't get a Slap on the Wrist!!
Your kidding right? No one really does something like that? Well, since I was born and raised in Missouri, that is one I would have to say "show me" cause I'm not going to believe it could be done unless I see it with my own two eyes! And let me tell you right now, if I see it with my own two eyes I'm a thinking I might just have to report that team to their company and I have never reported anyone for anything. I try to mind me own business but something like that would be putting others to risk of harm!

I am a trucker and i am **** proud of it. I have 26 years on the toad give or take a few years it is 0227 after all. I have driver 9, 10,13,15,speeds and a double stick 4x5. And now i have an automatic and i don;t feel it makes me any less of a trucker at all. i started driving a 78 gmc cabover and once i got into a hood i never went back. I for one don't need a 13 speed to prove i am a man. But hey if you want to drive an old cornbinder with a creat for a seat and an 18 speed to make you feel good go for it.
