It is still amazing to me that we celebrate the birth of a baby that was born in a little town, on the other side of the world, over 2000 years ago. Even angels appeared at His birth bringing tidings of great joy and kings from many miles away traveled to bring gifts to the baby.
This baby grew in favor with God and men. Lived a life without sin, the first man to ever do that. He traveled from village to village and thousands came to hear him teach. He healed all the sick people that came to Him, He cast out demons, raised the dead and many other miracles. He showed us the true nature of God.
He was persecuted for doing good and speaking the truth. He was brutally beaten and nailed to the cross and died. He payed the penalty for all mans sins. The good news is that because He never sinned, death could not hold Him. Three days later God raised Him from the dead. He showed Himself to many then ascended to the right hand of the Father. He is there today, alive and well, making intersession for you and me. He now offers the gift of eternal life to all who believe. It is the ultimate CHRISTmas gift that was purchased for you and me. We can't earn it or deserve it we just have to receive it.
Have you ever received the ultimate CHRISTmas gift? It really is quite simple, if you confess Jesus as Lord (that means boss) and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Not only will you go to Heaven when you die, you can have a relationship with Father God while you are here on Earth and He will fill you with joy. You can actually experience God and know Him instead of getting some stuffy religion and just knowing about Him. So, just tell Jesus you want Him to be boss and want to know Him and believe! It really is that simple.
