Hang in there, Dave - if you don't run across any friendly expediters on the road, ( and in the past few years, I've managed to bump into Highway Star, TerryandRene, Moot, Turtle, and Fr8shaker,) you can meet a whole bunch of them at the Expediter's Expo, in July. Then you'll at least recognize them when you do see them :) And you can get an Expediters Online bumpersticker, so we can recognize you, too, on the road.:)

Thanks Cheri, well the unfriendly crowd left, and since then, I have met several expediters here. Even one from my own company.

It has been educational to check out each others set ups. I see everyone except me has insulation. Ha I figured well the cold weather was about over now, and there was no hurry.

It was so hot in Laredo yesterday that I could almost burn myself touching the inside of my van.

I got a load today. 7.7 miles dead head 3.2 miles delivery and 7.1 miles back to the truckstop. So 60 bucks plus FSC for an hours "work".

Also maintained my first out status, now if I could just do about ten of those a day. :D

I am easy to recognize, Cheri. I am the guy in the white Sprinter.

ps. I never saw so many Panther vans in my life.

There have been a couple times, both in Laredo & at the Detroiter, when I've wondered if Panther was holding orientation there now. (They're like Tribbles, sometimes: a few when you go to sleep, become a dozen when you wake up :p)

I could not take it in Laredo anymore. Moved to the Hook in San Antonio. I can go broke here a lot better than there.

Ahh internet service without having to wait like 5 or 10 minutes for a page to load.

Gonna have to break out the winter clothes though, it is only in the low 80s here.

I don't see another expedite van in sight. Don't know about the big trucks.

Eagle River: if the Fed Ex truck parked behind you is a DR unit, with the number 4426 on it.......:p (At least you can walk through the lot, looking at trucks, without drivers assuming you're a lot lizard, I bet)

Well, that would be pretty cool if Linda and Dave got to meet Linda and Dave. I am missing a Linda or there would be three sets.:D
