MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. — Interstate 94 will remain shut down in northwest Indiana until further notice because of treacherous conditions in the area, according to Indiana State Police.
I-94 was closed in both directions Sunday evening from Michigan City to the Illinois state border. That is about a 40-mile stretch.
The closure was caused by multiple slide-offs. Police say plow trucks are currently unable to get to the area because of the traffic congestion.
Not sure if this has been cleared but talking to my Brother whose in Green Bay he says roads are dicey....and lots of trucks are freezing up(Air Dryers) due to the extreme -30 cold....I just took this off a new feed, you may want to call ahead...
Stay safe my friends,,,
