Hunting rifles blow up trains

Constitution hating liberal idiots. There's no end to what they can come up with. Semi-automatic firearms must be banned because they can shoot down airplanes. They are a threat to national security. Oh yes they can. Jesse Jackson said so about a month ago. Well now he's enlightened us to the fact they can also blow up trains. I guess we just wouldn't know all sorts of things if it weren't for dumber than dirt liberal morons sharing valuable information.

This week's outrage comes to us courtesy of the anti-gun Reverend Jesse Jackson. Rev. Jackson is not in the news as much now as he once was. When you do hear from him, though, his comments are still laced with his usual dose of hyperbole.

That predictable pattern continues with Rev. Jackson's recent comments on semi-automatic firearms.

According to an article appearing on TheBlaze.com last month, Rev. Jackson believes that semi-automatic firearms must be banned because they could "shoot down planes" and therefore constitute a risk to national security.

The Blaze ran a follow-up story debunking the claim, but that didn't seem to deter Rev. Jackson, as this week he boldly declared that, in addition to shooting down planes, semi-automatic firearms could also be used to "blow up railroads."

"You know that these weapons can shoot down airplanes, they can blow up railroads. This is really a whole national security issue," Rev. Jackson said in a recent interview on Fox News. Blow up railroads? What in the world is he basing that claim on?

If Rev. Jackson is interested in the facts and wants to return this debate back to earth, he should know that semi-automatic firearms were introduced in the late 1800s, and have been popular for self-defense, hunting and target shooting ever since. Forty percent of all uses of firearms for self-defense are performed with semi-automatic handguns, and all firearms used in the annual National Rifle and Pistol Trophy Matches are semi-automatic.

Though he seems to know very little about semi-automatic firearms, we assume that we will continue to hear Rev. Jackson make outrageous claims about this issue in the future. No doubt Jackson won't be able to help himself, as he craves the spotlight to continue to push his agenda, using bizarre and truly outrageous claims.

The anti-gunners--including Rev. Jackson--will stop at nothing to get what they want: a ban on your lawfully owned firearms. They will literally say anything they think will help them achieve their goal.

What? Disarm his army? Won't happen. They WANT gun crimes right now, it helps them push their anti-Constitution agenda.

I think the planes and trains are reasonably safe. Most of the shootings and gun violence where he comes from is either drugs, bad relationships, money, or tennis shoes.

Mostly the drug trade. That is why I say Obama's ideas on guns will lead to MORE, not less, gun crime. Prohibition of items that people want ALWAYS leads to crime, corruption and black market trade.

Two of my "little lovelies", when I worked at the outdoor youth prison, where there because the almost killed another kid for his tee shirt. They were cousins that wanted for nothing. Both had parents, stable homes, more than enough income to provide for basic needs and then some. Why then did they almost kill for that shirt? They told me that their parents could not afford designer tee shirts, only Walmart tee shirts, they saw it, liked it and took it. They saw NO PROBLEM in that.

And the occasional shooting over a Pork Chop.

A well-placed bird can bring down a plane. A well-placed penny can blow up a train. I'm all for getting rid of the pennies, actually, but birds I'm not to sure about.

I'd rather get rid of the one dollar bill. It would be more cost effective in the long run. So people don't like dollar coins. Too bad. Tough twinkies. Get over it and move on. It's multi millions of dollars in savings for a broke government.

OK, somebody help me out here. How are you going to shoot down a plane with a semi-automatic weapon? Most don't have the range unless you're near the runway, and if you try to do it there you'll have security on you like white on rice before you get the gun out of your vehicle. Even then, it would take an incredibly lucky shot to do it.

Trains--- uh Jesse, I don't know how to tell you this, but it's been awhile since you could blow up a train by hitting the boiler. Even then, you'd have to know where on the boiler to hit to blow it up-- most shots would result in leaks but not necessarily an explosion. Or, maybe you mean hitting a tank car. This would probably require tracer bullets, which I don't think you can buy at the local gun store. Ordinary bullets wouldn't make it explode, but might start a car leaking.

Just a thought. Hmmm... I wonder how you would go about that with a semi-automatic.

Answer to the original post.....

If its on the internet it must be true.

A G.E. turbofan (jet engine) can injest a 20 lb frozen turkey fired at 500 mph directly into it and remain opperaitonal. A bullet it will swallow and crap out without an issue.

They need to stop worrying about frozen turkeys and concentrate on geese.

Think of how well that can tenderize? Dont even need a crock pot.
That N.Y.C. plane ingesting geese into both engines and shutting down both was one of those 1 in 100,000,000 incidents. In most cases you jest hear a bang like a loud backfire and they keep going.

It's really cold at 30,000. Not that turkeys can fly, of course.

Lefties still believe a gun fired inside a plane can cause it to depressurize and/or bow a hole in it, causing passengers to be sucked out, a scenario that has happened precisely once--in a movie. Never in reality. These are the people who think a barrel shroud is "the shoulder thing that goes up," and these are the idiots who want to take guns away, and they actually have a vote to do so.

I'd post a pic of my dad around the same time, but I don't think it would make the same point. He was a helmsman aboard a carrier in the South Pacific. :D
