That is SO good for this country, eh? WE make it impossible to sell them here, and the Chinese will sell the snot out of them.I might even be willing to bet that we ALLOW them to export them BACK here. Where are all the GREENIES? Why are the not over there prostesting and screaming about greenhouse gasses and global warming? OH THATS RIGHT!! They get KILLED or JAILED over there if they do that!!

They get the GM b*stardised version of the brand, you know the Suburban/truck chassis version that isn't too much of a serious off roading vehicle to begin with.

But it will still guzzle gas and produce massive amounts of greenhouse gasses. Where is GreenPeace when you need them?

It may be a *******, but I love my H-2. And no I didn't buy it to take it off road.

And the only way I will give it up is when B.O.'s "greenie" czar pries my cold ,dead fingers off of the steering wheel.

12 MPG and livin' large.:D

Same goes for my 2002 F250 Super Duty with the 5.7liter V8. It does, however, go off road, WAY off road. I get 14-15mpg on the highway and MUCH less when in 4 wheel-drive with the hubs locked in. WAY back in the woods. The trail got SO small last year it was like driving through a tunnel of tree branches that were SHORTER than the truck is tall!! GREAT FUN!! If Barry and Co. try to take it, tax it or what ever it will sound something like, "Go suck an egg, Barry"!! Or worse. :p

See Doggie I am not talking about the people who bought the thing knowing what it is, it serves a purpose for those who are realisitc about it. But there are a lot of people who swear the thing is a downsized Hummer version which you and I know it is not. GM marketed the H2 and H3 as little brothers of the Hummer but failed to mention that it can't do some of the things the Hummer can and some of these owners took it too serious, thinking it was a do-all.

This is just a way for the Chinese to gain easy access to the American market. Setup dealerships for the Hummer brand and back it up with some cheap cars from a couple of Chinese mfrs.

Continuing the moves from the world's "left" along with their "Puppets" Barry and Co. to destroy the manufacturing sector of the U.S. No manufacturing, no military power. This has been their goal from day one.

That I have to agree with. Some say it started after WW2 but I think it really started in the 50's under Eisenhower.

The funny thing is, the New Hummer will be HQ'ed here in Michigan for some odd reason and they are talking about taking over one of the GM plants here in the state to build it after the 2012 change over of the plant.

I don't know what the big deal is, this is not an Iconic brand as everyone in the press claims, AM general is the real brand behind the name, not GM and the prestige of the vehicle is not from GM but AM general who stopped making the real Hummer in 2006. The LSSV, which is also sort of a GM product is produced by AM General by the way.

If China wants to build the thing here, so let's go... it is jobs. People like Penske, Kerkorkain and others had their chances to buy it and build it. Penske dropped his pursuit of Saturn which is a brand GM should keep, he did it because he could not be assured that GM would produce the car for him after 2011.

It is a shame that we have this mess but if GM were to fail and the peices picked up by other companies, it would have been a better place. The really sad news for many in my former profession at GM and EDS is the move to outsource IT to India. I haven't gotten the details yet but they seem to make the same move as Ford and Chrysler have talked about.

OF COURSE it did NOT start 9 months ago, do you REALLY think I am as stupid as that drunken idiot you have a pic of on your posts? Get a grip, I said the WORLD's left, NOT, just Barry and Co. They are just ANOTHER in a long line of "Puppets" who's strings are pulled by the "Puttet Master". (By the way, I NEVER committed felony perjury as that fool did)

IF you "gut" our industry you take us out as a military power. Just look back to the ranting of the "leftist" professors and so-called "students" in the '60's and '70's.

I do however, think that kool-aid sucks!! Too much sugar.

That's what happened when Kia moved into many former Saturn dealerships . If Penske had bought Saturn the vehicles would eventually have been produced by Renault Samsung , a Korean manufacturer . Chrysler almost had a deal with Chinese manufacturer Chery . Steve Saleen sold his business making performance Mustangs and was investing in starting a network of dealers to import Chinese vehicles . Saleen helping to import Chinese cars to US - MotorAuthority
But the Hummer is very popular in China . Jeep Grand Cherokees have been made in China for years .
