I dropped in Anniston, AL on Friday morning ..... headed over to the J in Temple, GA in the afternoon and Dispatch couldn't get me loaded (out of Atlanta, on a Friday ???) ..... I hung around until around 15:00 on Saturday in hopes of something ..... but nada.

So I packed it in and headed for the barn ...... I'm OOS now until at least the 30th as the wife has some time off over the holidays.

Hey Pelicn congrats on 28 years of marriage! I got a great chuckle out of spending your anniversary in Laredo and admire you for not insisting on a special occasion to celebrate the day! We have also spent some funny anniversary days together and I am sure when we were married at 17 I had stars in my eyes of all the cool celebrations we would have. Took one year to figure out plain and simple is best and we usually do have a few laughs on our anniversary over the twists and turns our lives have taken.

I hope you have another great and fun twenty eight years!

I am stuck in Lodi, OH. I want to go home after 7 weeks, but I just might have to settle for anything just to make some money.

I'm sitting on my couch playing dispatcher, but I can't find anything for me at the moment. That's because I'm only looking for short stuff so I can stay near home.

unless you actually feel comitted to do jury duty, owner operator truck drivers can opt out, as a long trial could be harmful to your income.Found this out last year when I was contacted for jury duty myself

The wife has been off since Fri 12/19/08, she took a "snow day" off from work. So she and I have been doing some small local runs around the Chicago area all this week. We decided to stop taking any loads up til the 24th so we can spend Christmas Day with her family and spend "Christmas" with my family on New Years Day.

We were supposed to go up north to our favorite spot in the Minnesota (Ely) to rent a cabin for us, her mother and the two huskies, but one of the dogs has cancer and we felt it probably would not be a good idea to travel with McKinley being sick as she is! My only wish to Santa, was that she could beat this illness!

I look to be back on the road after New Years in full force.

Happy Holidays, and a prosperous new year from all of us at Blue Jay Delivery Service!
John, Tom, Jackie, Joann, Nala, and McKinley.
