We will just have to see what the week holds for me. Worst cases I will go hog hunting down here in Georgia and then goto Biloxi to my brothers house for thanks giving. But honestly I would rather be running freight LOL.

We learned yesterday that we will be picking up an 1,800 mile load on Thanksgiving day. It is our custom to stay out over the Thanksgiving holiday in hopes of getting loads like this. It worked this year.

Well it looks like I'll be home. I sat for 2 days in Peru Ill...Load 1 just called offered an empty move home @ $.50 a mile....I'll stay in service, maybe run a few "locals" to orrow or take something if they find it...but it look like "home for the Holiday"...

LOL 1800 mile run I would scratch home time in a split instant! I would be on that load like bee's on honeycomb. lol No home time is worth giving up a load like that. :D

We had high hopes and plans of being home for Thanksgiving. Not only for the holiday but daughter is having a baby and her due date is tomorrow. But we are stuck in EEl Paso Texas at the Petro. We arrived here on Monday morning and thought we wouldn't have a hard time getting out of here.
I am very disappointed in missing the birth of my grandaughter. We can't afford to dead head home that far. This is my daughter's first child and I was supposed to help her with her labor, labor coach.
So I guess it is Thanksgiving at the Petro unless they find us something tomorrow, it will be some other truck stop. Too far to make it home this late even if we took a load in the morning we wouldn't make it by Thanksgiving. I most likely will miss the birth of the grand baby also.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
