How is your 2012 so far?

As we close out the first month of the year I would like to ask how everyone's year going so far? Our year started off better than last year and we are up as a fleet on everything. That is to be expected as we have grown our fleet by four trucks for the same time last year. I hope everyone is doing great and making money.

I figure you are mainly asking for info on ST's, but ill throw my info in the pot anyhow...Its been a very good start..

12 runs since 1/4
539 DH miles
5344 Load Miles

All the numbers are from my Fleet Vision..and I'll be more then happy to show them to anyone that ask, as i have done down here in Laredo this weekend....

I won't post the income info as it becomes a "whizzin" match and people tend to not believe it anyhow, It suffices to say that "Load 1" hasn't disappointed in the least....

Those #'s reflect only the Cargo Max, not my other Cargo Van that is in service and doing fine...

We had a great 2012. We went out of service for a couple weeks. (personal reasons) Be we have been very pleased with our numbers. One week was over 3500 miles. (we are a team)

Nope all units. Vans/Sprinters are the only units we don't have as of right now. We are thinking about getting them as we grow.

Chef if and when we do buy a van or Sprinter they will be signed on with Load1 only. Load1 has the best Van/Sprinter income hands down, this I know from when I was an agent outside agent for John for a few months. I hope John knows if calls me and needs help with anything i will do my best to try to help John.

So far it's been pretty good. I've driven 3842 miles- all miles- since Jan 3. The month has been better than I expected. During this month some days have been awesome, some brutal. The month as a whole though, has been pretty good.

I'm guessing you're asking about expedited only, but outside of expediting things are pretty good too. I've got a lil side business that's been fun & added a lil extra $$.

Overall, since I moved back in Aug/2011 things have been a lot better.

In a Sprinter first 2 weeks no freight only 1 call to tease me, then the 3rd week an average week and this last week was a great week with this load I deliver Monday and get the paperwork scanned at the truck stop will give me $4,000 gross for the week.

Removable Goose Neck, they are called lowboys as well. They sit low to the ground and the neck comes off to load vehicles and equipment.

Slower than I expected, I'm still holding my own, did 18 jobs this month, Money is still the same, just not getting the good runs I'm used too. running solo, I have found that my limit is around 600-700 a day so I lose a lot of the longer runs. Seems teams are doing better I imagine.

It will get better, just keep your chin up and stay positive.

We did not start running until the 9th. We had TVAL training so we got a late start. Jan has been good so far. If there is no problem with Monday's loads the month will be quite good. Better than some months that we worked the entire time.

Our first month kept us rolling, with only two weekend layovers, both on loads. 12 hrs max between loads. Thanks to our knowledgable and compassionate owner we know this will be a good indication of what to look forward to the rest of the year.
