How complicated is IFTA filing?

As part of the deal with the company I'm subcontracting to - IFTA filing is up to me even though they pay the fuel.

So running two trucks strictly in WA and BC, (mostly BC) all fuel purchased in WA state at a CFN station, all miles recorded in each jurisdiction for both trucks. Do I need IFTA software to come up with the figures or is this easy enough to use a calculator and fill out the form manually? I'm thinking with detailed mileage records, CFN reports and only two jurisdictions to deal with its not too complicated...........?

I would have to agree with your thinking, since it's only 2 places you're dealing with.
But let me say we're not subject to IFTA anyway, so take what I say with that in mind :).
From how Leo explained it in his detailed post, it sounds kinda similar to GST tracking, only a lot more tricky. If the software is free, it'd be worth it! But if not... some good bookkeeping would do just fine for you, I'm sure.
