Like the graffiti boards in the restroom. They put up a board as a place for graffiti for those who feel obliged to leave their mark, so the graffiti "artist" either engraves their message in the board or post their mark next to the board. Who dares tell an "artist" where they can leave their mark.

If Lawrence likes the idea of a Weekly Pickle, I take that to mean he prefers to see the graffiti contained. Perhaps the Layover Lounge can evolve into what it was intended.

Maybe that's what the Layover Lounge was envisioned to be, but it didn't evolve that way.
Members want to chat - and we all do it, just to different degrees, so there ought to be a place specifically for that. Kinda like JamminJim's 'Thread you can use' post, but updated to reflect what the current users want. Hence, The Weekly Pickle.

No thanks on the chat room, I have a cell phone. Chat rooms for the most part are long gone. they were popular maybe a decade ago but most places you see them today they are graveyards.
