I found with the CLC don't even consider the one star, two star is the bare minumum and even then it might be a dump. If in doubt ask to see the room before you pay.
Never thought of using priceline, good idea
As I get older I think my OCD is getting worse...in Motel rooms I always ditch the bedspread since they don't wash those often or at all, I use lysol on the TV remote and door knobs faucet handles and also try not to think about all the gross people that have stayed there before
Pretty soon I'll be like Monk and carry handi wipes everywhere with me

My company uses the La Quinta next to Rudy's BBQ on I-10. I haven't stayed there, but some of the other guys have. I think they give us a $45 to $49 dollar rate. I haven't heard any complaints.

It looked like there were several there in El Paso TEXAS. I haven't had to stay in El Paso in some time. I've been picking up there and turning and burning.
In Laredo, we've been using the Comfort Inn and Suites. I stay there alot. We get it for $59 a night. There may be than one, but the one we use is behind the Mall del Norte.

CLC card isn't near as good as it once was.By the time they add their 4.95,you haven't save enought to make it worth while.Once in a while you'll get a great rate,but lately hasn't happened for me
Now going with this thread,since I use plenty of rooms,in most cases check in is after 2 pm,there have times when I've checked in earlier,only because the motel had rooms available earlier.Check out was not 'til the next day.
Haven't stayed at a Knights in lately ,but their policy was checking in after 0400 check out wasn't 'til the next day.
