It can get discouraging at times, the government regs and all.
It helps to remember that without the government and its regs we would not have the interstate highway system, uniform weights and measures, legal tender and many other resources that we take for granted in our businesses. Note also that we earn a lot of money hauling freight for various government agencies; always more than we pay back in taxes.
The government is a pain in the behind in many respects but it also provides important resources and is one of our best customers.
Nonsense.
The constitution required the federal government to set weights and measures, defend us against enemies foreign and domestic, defend the rights of the individual, coin money, create a court system, and make interstate trade uniform.
AND NOT A BLASTED THING ELSE.
Further, we never needed the feds to build a highway system, or a few million other things it has done. I refuse to "feel grateful" for the tin-horn dictators in Washington DC with thier malevolent tyranny. They're supposed to work FOR me, not me for them.
