Obviously you have no use for Social Security either. :p

Biggest Ponzi scheme in the history of the United States. Just ANOTHER in a long line of lies used to rip off the American people. What a JOKE! Our government made Maddof look like a saint! The same crime as Madoff on a much larger scale! The brain child of another very racist, socialist president.

So I take that to mean you're a man of principle and you won't sink so low as to cash the checks they'll send you.

I am a man of principle, that is the main reason I am driving a truck. I quit NSA, after 20 years of service, giving up my pension, because, along with some other reasons, I would NOT use my skills against US citizens, as ordered to do so by Bill Clinton. I was not eligible for SS for that entire time.

All I want is my money back. ALL of it! All that was stolen from me. I will never see it.

So you won't be taking SS when it becomes available? On principle?

Explain just how taking, or not taking it, has anything to do with principle? I did not enact the law. I was FORCED to participate. I had NO option but to pay into it, what little I did, and I did not spend on other programs. Our presidents and the congress committed the crimes, we all the victims of the fraud they perpertrated on us. Kind of a very silly game you are playing. I will NEVER see a valid return on the money I was FORCED to pay in. I will profit from it in no way, shape or form. There is no "principle" issue on my part regarding SS. Put the blame where it belongs.

There WAS with NSA, and I acted in the proper, principled manner. As I have always tried to do in my life.

For whats its worth 12 months ago I made the Statement there will be an influx of Military comming into the Civil sector beecasue of Cuts RIFF if you will people here ignored it. Well its here I said that the GOVT was going to fianiance there schooling for truck driving if they chose to do so and I also stated that the companies hiring these vets would recieve substanual funds about 12000 a head for every vet hired and held for a year. Guess what its here and happening. We 400000 military getting out of the service due to a RIF (Reduction In Force) its here. THe FMCSA rules set in pace on 34 hour restart is to visiual a shortage of truck drivers thus help absorb the influx for those that will become truck drivers. It also will helps with the Mexi Pilot Program of which is not Dead. Jancie Brown Suprem Court Judge that up held the FMCSA ruling of the 34 restart being only once a week. I shake my head. Notibly sad it is. Just like the small time farmer that is no more. So will it be soon with the owner OOPS. The slicing of the mandated 34 hour reset once a week is just a start. The Judge in my opinion may I say had her Blinders On. More Govt control. Just as with the EROBS. Now I have nothing against a computer log as I ran Driver DDL when I first started. I thought it was cool. But I do know logs and how to figure out the 8-2 splits easy. But Govt controling the Trucking industry is so wrong as with the mandating the only one 34 hour restart a week along with the EROB crap. Im against that. I feel its Commie Crap any way one slices it, thats what it is. Trucking may have change since back in the 60 and early 70 but the ideal of being your own boss so to speak out making a good living and then being able to go home and be able to take that tiime and not worrie about money as you did your time out there while gone to earn that time to spend with your family well that now appears is going away just like the small time farmer. It like taking a 7000 load then company calls you and says u can deliver early then when u get there they want cut the pay becasue you deliver a day early. Well same differece, weather a 34 hour restart as many many times a week as one would like or only getting one. Hello. It sure seems to me if I got 2 34 hour restarts a week Id have more time to myself then getting just one. I guess Janice Brown had her Blinders on. But then again I served this Great Country for 23 years active and fought against Commie Crap only to get out and see what I actualy fought for Democracy and freedom is now Dying with Thunderous Applause. Sad it is. It irritates the Heck out of me that when I was a young man I could have a sow and 10 little pigs & raise them up, do the chores take them to market (back in the 70s) and then pay my father for the feed of them pigs raisning them up and then still out of all that put 500 dollars or more in my pocket as a young man. Mind all of you That cant be done to day. Thats becasuse of Govt Crap Intervention the Great Cooperate Farming legislation Regan signed in 80s that was an actual pork barrel for Ronnies 600 ship Navy and the Biggest pay Raise the military ever had. Its true its true alot of crap was promised and done to get what Regan wanted. Just like every President we have had since. Thats no lie. But Govt needs to step out. Like I said our freedoms are dwindling away with thunderous Applause and no one seem to have the guts to stand up and say we will not go quietly into the night we will not give up without a fight. Untill then these Commie Rules and Regulatations are going to be more and more. 34 hour restart once a week some body needs to rethink it. And again take a look at somthing I have not said one bad thing about the Mando Break well I guess thats because it dont bother me. The weak go hand in hand. Commonsense is strong Use it standing behind a College Degree if you got it in underwater basket weaving, I got a couple of tanks that are still full time to come up for air. Common sense works Dont you agree. Dont think too hard you might loose a few brain cells.
Have a nice day.

... But keep this in mind - the more they make our jobs harder, the fewer people there are willing to do our jobs. Simple supply and demand dictates that we'll make more money. We're equipped to handle the extra aggravation due to the calluses we've acquired. Can you imagine someone new to this business trying to get his head around the new hos rules? I pity the fool. :)

That's the supply and demand theory and I wish you were right but you are presenting the theory on an assumed all-other-things-being-equal basis. All things are not equal, so while the theory works well in isolation, it is not working in practice. The exact same theory was voiced with every HOS change we have seen in our ten years in the business. It was voiced when CSA came out. If it was going to work, it would have worked by now.

People have been saying for years that there will be a driver shortage but none has developed in a way that raises rates or keep freight from moving. I'd love to be proven wrong on this but no one has cited contrary evidence so far. The trucks keep rolling, the freight keeps moving and if rates are going up at all, they are not going up enough to overcome the rise in operating costs.

Regarding getting one's head around the new HOS rules, they are not difficult to understand. They don't make sense to many drivers but it is easy to understand the words. Trucking is not a difficult profession intellectually. You do not need a higher education to enter the trade.

There is a HUGE difference but you are in your pot stirring mode, as per normal! :D

This is being done, by the administration, deliberately to put independents out of business. That leaves more room for a few big companies and only union drivers, which is their primary goal. Those kind of companies and drivers are more easily controlled. Wages will be forced down, again under direction of the administration when 12 million criminal invaders are given legal status.

I'd like to see some of these members do 40,000 lbs of hanging beef around a corner on an uphill grade and split a gear or two without jamming it up....now that is driving...so there....you drive a kiddy car compared to that....hehehehehe

Better a kiddie car to drive vs. a perverted roller skate!

Besides, how is having a machine work for you dumber than wearing out your left knee and clutches?

Now I see why you are stuck at the sprinter level.
