I don't think I would want that much weight hanging on the door while I was running down the road.

lots of trucks like that out there. braced inside and out should be no problem. only had one fella tell me different. his ac was wall mounted into a cargo box. the rattling killed it each year. he said for a hundred bucks he could buy a new one no problem.

with the cost savings you achieve even buying ac unit every year verses a roof mounted version you could go to panara a couple a times.

While with FedXcc I looked at a Chevy van that had gen on front of van. They had installed a front hitch, and small platform. Gen was mounted to it and also had chained down as added precautions.

Here as of late I saw in passing a 'sprinter CV. They had rooftop ac/??heat and behind it there was a rather large gen mounted to roof and some kind of home made cover over it!!
clearance must be over 10'- 11' ???
