That's cool, but I would not feel too safe with it, too many things can happen with a fuel line and hauling class 1 thru 6 haz mat, or just the thought of 5 gallons of gas draining out as you go down the road or parked. Also, DOT regs requirements. The Honda does have a fuel pump to draw the fuel up, just have to be sure and put a hose on the bottom side of the generators cap that drops into the generator's tank to pull fuel in, or so I'm told. There is a yahoo email group that I have sending emails to me on the EU2000 everyday, lots to learn. *I do like the idea of extended run tank.....as my A/C just quit in 100 degrees in San Antone** Just my 2 cents.

I've got a used EU2000 for sale. Less than 100 hrs on it. Getting out of the expediting biz. I bought it new for $1100 so shoot me a PM and make me an offer if you're interested.

Drop a pickup tube into a hole drilled near the top of the truck gas tank and seal it good with jb weld..run a 1/4 gasline along the frame and back to about 3 ft from the gemerator. Install a fuel primer "bulb" in the line and then install a fuel filter...from there run 3 ft of fuel line to a quick disconnect fitting on the end of the line. Disconnect the fuel line that comes from the gas tank in the generator where it hooks to the fuel pump..add a short oiece of fuel line with the reciever end of the quick disconnect...you have just elimated all of the worrys you talked about.

Stop, hookup the fuel line in seconds, prime the line with the "bulb until there is ful in the filter, start the generator and dont worry about it...oh , when you shut everything down, run the generator out of gas....letting this "crap" gas we are getting now sit in the carb doesn't do it well.. any good small engine shop will talk you that...

Not meaning to be difficult here, but, the fuel bulb, filter, quick disconnect, so many feet of fuel line, if God forbid you have a breach anywhere due to fire, accident etc., if still gravity fed, the risk still exist as far as the FMCSA and I are concerned. See Section 393.65 Subpart E - Fuel systems, in particular, subsection (d) found here; All fuel systems. - Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

That's all.
