Mississippi Cops Warn Drivers About Stopping for Homicidal Fake Cop

"Mississippi authorities are urging drivers to be wary when being pulled over by a police officer after two people were shot and killed by someone police think could be posing as a cop to get motorists to stop."

Like expediters don't have enough to worry about on the road already. Police are looking for a gold Crown Victoria. That car could be anywhere now. Keep your eyes open and guard up.

They are now saying locally that they now think he has shot some people at random as well that were just driving by. Not actually pulled over. Sounds like a total nut case on the loose.

Tell you what, when the cops stop behaving like psychos, I'll stop bashing them for it. Even Turtle said psycho trainees go to the head of their class, something I didn't expect from him.

In the first article about it, the cops theorized that the shooter was impersonating a LEO solely because they couldn't account for why the drivers had stopped in both shootings. I'm wondering whether the incident with the gold Crown Vic was reported before the shootings...Doesn't seem to be enough to justify headlines warning "Fake cop shooting people", IMO. Maybe it was, but honestly? They have no idea what happened.

I think it's because the one possible witness saw a gold Crown Vic. Also, I doubt a guy playing at "cop" would use a Ford Econoline to do his job in. It doesn't "look like" a police car, but the Crown Vic does.

Traffic stops by unmarked police cars have been suspended according to this news piece. It is unclear from the article if the stops have been suspended in Tennessee only or in Mississippi also. Regardless, the killer remains at large and police continue to maintain the theory that the killer is posing as a cop.
