Holy Diamond Plate Batman!

I don't know that I can bare to put freight in there any more. If you look at the before photo you can kind of see how the T&G floor was starting to break up (truck was leased to a nursery, I think they had metal racks in there) so the options were a replace the existing floor, replace with hardwood, cover with steel and lastly cover with aluminum diamond plate. I went with the last one, believe it or not it was cheaper than a new T&G floor or hardwood - only added 400 lbs and best of all scheduling the job on Victoria Day meant no down time.......in and out in less than one day. Anyone know where I can get a bulk discount on aluminum polish? :D

Very pretty! Now you will never have to worry about not having anything to do in your down time! Too bad you couldn't have somehow trashed the old hardwood before putting the new stuff in, to get rid of some of the weight. Would that have been possible?

Did that come with a pair of sunglasses to wear when accessing the box? That's very sharp looking. Time to buy stock in polish and toothbrush companies.

It didn't have hardwood, if it had that stuff probably wouldn't have been needed. As nice as that looks (for now) it was purely functional - the existing floor was already plenty trashed. What was and is in there is 2x6 tongue & groove Douglas fir which as I said had been abused and the surface was splintering, this was simply a way to put and end to that - but it does look cool. Apparently aluminum prices are down these days, or so they told me.
