Looks like I get to enjoy Memorial Day weekend two years in a row in beautiful Laredo. Weather forecast this year is the same as last year, too, triple digits, abundant sunshine.

Being a weatherperson in Laredo has got to be one of the easiest jobs around. I'll be leaving Wichita today to go down to Tulsa for a pickup Tues. morning.

Got into Omaha yesterday and am laying over in Gretna at the J off I 80. Plan on going to the Strategic Air and Space Museum this afternoon in the absence of any dispatch.
Could have gone to Lansing over the weekend with a load offer of pickup Friday with Tuesday delivery at less than rate but decided there were enough units in Michigan and did not want to start a short week out in Michigan.
Great load for someone from Michigan but we do not know anyone there.

My perfectly planned weekend ended up with a load planted right in the middle of it. Delivery within 13 miles of my Dallas parking spot. So what do I call a better-than-perfectly-planned weekend? Took some contortions to make it work on my end, but couldn't ask for more from the people at hq.
