ABC'S WIFE SWAP SEEKS DYNAMIC MOMS WHO DRIVE TRUCKS FOR PRIMETIME!

My name is Danielle Gervais. I'm a Casting Producer for ABC's Primetime show, "Wife Swap." We’re currently gearing up for our fifth season and we're looking for one-of-a-kind families with plenty of personality to take part in the show. Specifically, we’re looking for moms who drive trucks for a living…moms who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, get dirty and do a “man’s job” better than the men! If you’re a tough woman working in a male-dominated industry, like trucking, we want to hear from you! Families who participate in this documentary-style program are given the opportunity to share their lifestyles with another family. Please feel free to forward this email to anyone you think would be interested in this unique opportunity!

In case you are unfamiliar with the show, the premise of Wife Swap is to take two different families and have the moms switch places to experience how another family lives. Half of the week, mom lives the life of the family she is staying with. After making her observations, she introduces several "rule changes," where she implements rules and activities that are important to her family. It's a positive experience for people to not only learn but teach about other families and other ways of life. Wife Swap airs on Disney owned ABC television on Wednesdays at 8 pm- the family hour!

Requirements: Each family must consist of two parents and at least one child between 6 and 17 and should reside in the continental U.S. (There may be other children living in the home who are older or younger than the required age…as long as one child is in the required age range.)

Participating in the show is a very unique experience that can be life changing for everyone. Families that appear on the show will receive a financial honorarium for lost wages, time and commitment. Anyone who refers a family that appears on our program receives $1000 as a 'thank you’ from us.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me! If you're interested in learning more, please include your contact information.

Thank you for your time,

Danielle Gervais

Danielle: neither I nor any of the dozen or so women drivers whom I know, are eligible for your show, nor am I familiar with it, (don't watch tv) but I do have a comment: drivers tend to be VERY particular about their trucks - if the swap involves driving someone else's, I can't see it happening. Of course, some folks will bend their rules, for money &/or tv exposure, (or it may not involve doing each other's job) so you will probably get a multitude of candidates. If so, do please let us know when it will air, ok?

seen the show each family receives 25,000 dollars after the week, the imported wife determines what they do with it!! such as college for the kids, vacation, home improvement etc.etc

Boy you guys are mean. Danielle can't help it, she has a job to do and it is hard working for Disney in the first place.

Danielle, good luck with your search. I agree you have a tough job to fulfill. I'm not a reality tv fan so I've only seen a few minutes here and there but it's obviously popular enough or it wouldn't be into 5 seasons.

This isn't Disney from the old days. It has morphed into a production company for debauchery of every conceivable type. Are you aware several mainline religious organizations have been boycotting Disney for years? This is Hollywood at its finest.

I think someone should do a twist on the 'Survivor' and 'Wife Swap' shows...take 5 dispatchers, put them on the road for a week, see who would survive!!! Maybe have 5 drivers take their place and offer the 'new drivers' low mileage runs, high deadhead, low fsc...........let them figure out how their going to make enough money for fuel, truck payment, living expenses, etc.........Everything we as drivers put up with on a daily basis.

I've seen a couple of the shows . The two wives swap families . I don't see how this can be done with a woman trucker . These media people don't have a clue about the trucking industry .

I think it's ok to hijack this thread, as we'll never hear from the OP again.....I wish dispatch were along for my next to last delivery: arrived at consignee after a 600 mile run, tired, hot, and hungry, only to find they had moved, & left no forwarding address. Called phone number on the BOL, of course it's no longer in service. Called dispatch, waited 15 minutes, got another address a few miles away. Find that place: closed for the day. Another call, another wait, another address. Go to the specific building described, find 8 different businesses, none anything remotely like the freight forwarder I'm looking for. Called dispatch, who gave me the contact's number, called him, he asks "Where are you, exactly?" "Outside of 'Tom's Chips' " "Ok, that's us - I'll open the door for you now"
GAAAHHH!!!
