Hello All, I am new here.....Looking to start 2011 into expediting with straight Truck, I live in North Carolina...am 46 yrs old and retired Firefighter, really ( FOTR2001) should be FOTR2011...LOL
I have truck driving exp in Fire Dept as well with my Father Company from 1995 to 2002...my CDL was expired......father passed away brother sold the company....in 2001.....done alot of reading and checking updates in this business and I'll be ready in 2011..........

The 1st quarter is traditionally a very slow time in expedite. You may want to use that time to read the archives here to continue your education and start thinking about jumping in around the end of March. Happy Holidays to you and yours and welcome!

Yeah I notice around Nov to Feb/Mar things get slow and dicee in the expediter business, oh believe me am reading all information in this Field......Am glad you all willing to help other learn the trade....May God bring you Blessings and good year for 2011....Oh I been reading about this Age requirements FDCC whats this about??? You need to be at least 21 years old to drive those Expediters toy trucks ,as truckers called them ...

Thanks to all the responds, Got me LOL on the Age Line!!! yeah am 46 yrs old, and sure miss the open roads....Again I know March is best time to jump in....Sorry not been on, just finish college ( Business Management degree) for my future Owner Operator Expediter am sure looking forward to getting started but yes I am reading as much I can.....Question? ( Who a good Company to Join to Start out) want to learn it before going Owner Operator....
