Normal average mileage pay for a Sprinter is about 95 cents a mile, give or take 5 cents, including fuel surcharge and everything. Some will lie and tell you something way different, but it's about 95 cents a mile on the average. Some really do get more, some really do get less, but most get 95 cents a mile on the average. Give or take.

FedEx is been good to us. I hope you do well. A solo in a van may not get tons of miles but you should get enough to make a profit if you are careful and frugal. Get wishes on your new career.

Thanks evryone, yeah I hear some get $1.00 mile...LOL ! Believe it when I see it, But looking forward to working with Fedex CC and learing this the right way. Yeah I know about the solo thing so why I was asking, but asking question is Learning right? so seems I've got three ( 3 ) choices 1- Sprinter Van Solo 2-Cube Van Solo. or 3- a C or D unit solo......Wife can't drive she's ( Deaf) but have a contact with DOT said I could get a waiver for her in the future...so may go ( Sprinter or Cube Vans) for us.....but wait and see can't jump the future for it changes everyday.....Again Thanks all God Bless & Be safe........( GOD IS MY PILOT)

With your qualifications I don't think you should have a problem driving a Sprinter or being in that type of a business. It is a good business. Of course, just as in any business there are ups and downs. I work in the air industry but deal with expeditors daily. They all say "this and that" but in the end they stick with it because it brings them in good money. I see a lot of cargo vans and sprinters as well. However, I am in Chicago so maybe that is why. All depends where you live too.

If you have the time, seems you do, research the options to a Sprinter. While I own one .. given the desire, I would dump it and go with some sort of Ford or GM cutaway, such as those made by http://maxxautocorp.com/

Sprinters served a purpose, but I do believe their time is behhind them. To many excuses from the German's about service and repair.

Nissan is entering the market with a nice van also. Soon it will be configured for more capacity, so I have heard.
