i have heard from a couple fellow drivers do not except load's into Quebec 1 said it is cause they do not like ppl.from the good Ol'USA of course we all know you here so much garbage out here thanks.

People don't like to go to Quebec because they
say they will only talk to you in French up there.
they can speak english better than u, but they want
u to speak french.
Don't know that a fact..we only have been to Quebec
once and they spoke to us in English.. Can't read the
road signs though as most of them are in French?
oh, don't lean on the counter if you go into the customs
office either.

I don't think that they speak english better than us,but they do speak it.
Also,as far as the road signs go the ones for traffic control are pretty easy to figure out what they mean.The street and town signs it doesn't really matter what they say or how it is said,as long as it lines up with your directions.
We have been to Quebec many times,and have never had any problems getting around or getting anything we want or need.DD.

I've been to Quebec several times as well. It's not a big deal. You'll figure out the street signs, a stop sign is still an octagon. I had a couple of instances of communication problems, but it's amazing what can be accomplished with hand gestures. I needed a bathroom. I just pointed at, well, you can guess where I pointed, and he pointed out the direction to the bathroom.
So, don't worry about all that stuff. Now, can your carrier get you out of there with freight? That's the real question.

Our's does and usually very good loads,so that is why we continue to go there.DD.

Yes...We've run Fedex B loads out of Quebec and they do tend to be good ones....

Don't go to NYC.
Don't go to Quebec.
Don't go to Chicago.
Don't go <insert area/city here>.
Heard it all before. Strikes me the professional attitude is a "can do" one where one has the skills, confidence, attitude and equipment to go anywhere and still get the job done.
The language (French) may be the biggest issue most of you will face in Quebec, although Quebec is not completely devoid of English speaking folks.

I once had a guy apply for a job,he said he didnt do nyc,canada,chicago,los angeles,he didnt unload trucks,and he couldnt drive 55,this guy work for anyone you know,cause i didnt hire him!
Night...kinda like trying to hire a dishwasher that doesn't lke to do dishes...*L*

What TIMMING. I just posted about a Trip I made to Sherbrook QC two years ago, regarding the problems with the guy from Salt Lake City.
I was threatened with JAIL, all for not reporting to the Bond Warehouse instead I went downtown to the Customs Office where I was given directions and an address to. PLUS I OFFERED TO GO TO JAIL, when the guy got IRATE. I knew arguing would do me no good and since I had written instructions from Windsor Customs and an address, WHY NOT I was getting Hungry.
Quebec is BEAUTIFUL, its worth ONE trip, and only One. Yes they are not pleasant, rude maybee just a little.
But I was actually having fun with Customs, as P.O. as this guy was. But seriously, I was not letting him in on my secret. To the Bond Warehouse I went. Heres the real KICKER, you know no one ever checked the SEAL, after all that!
