If I were given that load, YES it would fit into the sprinter. Did a load like that last year, forklift driver wanted to call and get larger truck, told him the load was given to me and it WILL go into van. You just need to know your limits and what to do to get load into van.
PS how is jet engine classed as hazmat? I have seen many shipped and have hauled to many to count, both new and overhauled and no hazmat on any of these.

Some of the used ones or ones going for service can't be quaranteed purged of fuel nor nitrogen and other chemicals which would make it hazmat. Non Plaque cardable

>The fact that all dispatchers are giving almost all B loads
>to C and D truck drivers is prefered treatment.

Here is one "C" unit that is NOT getting your "B"loads.
Out of the last 82 loads only 12 were "B".

I was not aware of this new requirement. And I don't believe my carrier made me aware. (Panther pun) How does one go about getting a copy of this test. Does this new requirement apply to all airfreight loads. What if a load was picked up off site of an airport? What about charter flight loads.

I would like to qualify for this since airfreight is part of my business.

Jim,

That just goes to show how many calls a day FedEx Custom Critical is getting a day if they are also having to farm them out. We are as busy as we want.

"Relent: the crate was the engine which is nestled down the bottom portion of the crate most of the weight would have been center of box and below. The rest is all filler."

OVM, it was not near the bottom, it was very top heavy because it was on a rack when they unpacked it, pretty cool. It was hazmat because of the residue fuel in the fuel system and Yes it could have gone into a sprinter, but I was not talking abot a sprinter, I was say "B" load, which a van is, right?

I am beginning to think that they maybe need to outlaw the sprinter. :*

B ...super B... whatever the carrier calls it...
At Express-1 it's CV or SPTR.

Oh..My last 2 loads would have been C loads if I weren't a Sprinter sooo I guess I am guilty of taking thier loads!!!

Call me crazy but it seems everyone is debating a point my 5 year old grand buddy would bring to the table...
If you feel slighted by your carrier move on.
If you feel slighted by your career choice move on..
If you feel slighted by life then maybe you are the problem...
MP has never said anything positive about anything I can remember and yet I too am giving due diligence to his rant.
I am having my best month ever in 3 years and I assure you I have not had 1 "B" load.
You "MAY" have options pursue them and I wish you happiness.
