When I was with my previous carrier, we used to get $250 to go to NYC. Now that was worth it in my eyes.

everyones take will be different....to me, at this time in my career, I'll leave that for you....NO amount is enough.....Times Square, Rockerfeller Center/NBC studios's.....nope, no way, no amount....

Well that was then and today my present carrier doesn't add for that. So I don't go.
even back in the old E-1 days...$65 east coast surcharge and $125, 5 borough surcharge..

The van and the carrier was the point...the "other" is just bonus material.....LOL
I take it as a bad sign when dispatch calls with offers for next year!

I take it its a bad sign when they call me and ask if I'll go to Montana today for monday delivery, I told them 8 grand, they hung up on me

I told them once that I'd never do a run to vegas as well, I'm betting I'd be there for a month till I got out of there!
Been many years since I ran a load out to Vegas.... I remember now why I don't go back!
I got one of those loads yesterday. Picks up tomorrow and delivers Monday. I do get 2 days layover pay to baby sit the freight from the comfort of my home.
Vegas would be the place to lay that bet down.
Been there, sat three days, left on my own. Viva Las Vegas...
It's not a first... but they're always funny...
