If you have no reserves you really don't want to be an owner op. The past six weeks I bought new tires, 900.00, a new windshield 200.00, brake pads and rotors all around, 600.00, transmission fluid change 200.00, fuel filter 120.00 an oil change done myself 110.00, new cat convertor and 2 nox sensors 2400.00, flex pipe 300.00, new alternator and install 300.00, and just because I wanted to be a little broker a new generator 1200.

Still had to buy fuel, food and make the van payment.

Sometimes it pays to just drive and let someone else take care of things.

yes i agree The mechanical thing can have you out of service and that's no good

I did the math with one of our OOs who was considering driving our Sprinter instead of purchasing his own. Once you account for gas, tolls, van maintenance, repairs, etc. it's really not that big of a difference.
