The Heathcare bill passed and what does it mean to Expediters. If you don't get heathcare now you will be fined $750.00 per person ot 2.5% of your income.

I'll take the fine...2.5% of zero is zero...it is still cheaper...then I'll appeal and appeal...all self represented...it'll cost the government a bundle..

It may be bad for some, but I have Psoriasis and have been turned down by over 20 different insurance companies because of my "Preexisting Condition"....This is a victory for people with these problems. Granted, the bill is not perfect, but as stated last night it has over 200 Republican ideas. It is basically the same bill introduced by Republicans when Bill Clinton introduced his bill way back in the 90's...so Republicans can go whining home. This is what Obama was elected for and did the Republicans offer any other ideas????? NO.

Good point! It is completely, utterly and totally unconstitutional! I cannot be forced to purchase things by the feds. Period. I am really heartsick about this one.

I voted for don't know much about it, because I don't and neither do the people who voted for it.

But what I do know,is that this is a dark day for America and heading us well down the road to tyranny.

While the lawmakers have chosen to ignore the will of the people,we will have our turn to voice our displeasure beginning in november of 2010.

You are so right! We WILL vote them all out come election time. We need a clean sweep. Fire them all.

Funny how I hardly ever post on here and this subject inspired me to. LOL

I will try and post an intro on the board now. I am shy.

We are in the same situation almost, This might be the solution to our personal problems...BUT As a country that stands on freedom of choices it is a bad thing..I would have preferred they left out the forced purchase...Any purchase in my state will exceed 8,000 a year...so I'll take the fine...

This is where it gets dicey..
Do you stand for yourself and your personal needs?
...or do you defend a right this country has dearly fought to sustain till yesterday?

The freedom of choice...

The things that this administration are trying to do,and have done so far has caused alot of people to get involved in the fight to take back America.

This really is just the beginning of a long legal battle that will surely bring out all of the facts of what this new law contains, and I believe everyone will be shocked when they find that out.

And hold on tight to your wallet, next up is cap and trade.

I stand for my country's needs first. Seriously. I defend the constitution above all else. 13 years Navy. I love my country!

Without America as it was conceived - a representative republic - we all suffer. Each and every one of us is affected by this. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow - but ultimately we all lose with this one...

I call yesterday "Black Sunday".

Just my two cents...

I couldn't agree with you more Doggie Daddy. I too think everyone will be utterly shocked when they find out what is actually in this "bill". I have read pages and pages of all of the "bills". It's disgraceful what they are pulling on us, the American people. Just disgraceful!

One can only hope that it is declared unconstitutional. Which it IS.

'nuff said...

I am not even an American and feel the same way...

Even though this has the potential to help my wife and I out of having no healthcare...I did not want it this way...Forced.

There has to a lot of Americans feeling some relief BUT also feeling some regret...

Your fine maybe based on the gross of your income, not the net OVM.

In addition to that, if you are running it as an LLC/Corp you may end up with higher taxes and a fine.

The state's push for nullifying this may do nothing if the supreme court rules in favor of the feds. It is unlikely that will happen but it is possible. I figure that the first suit will hit the courts this year and it will be settled by 2014.

see in Canada the healthcare was never a federal doing...it started with one province offering it as a way to attract new residents, and the idea grew...NEVER was it forced on the people...then all the provincial programs were so wildly organized the Federal government instilled the Canada Health Act that sets a more uniform delivery of services standard.

It is also against the Constitution for the Federal government to actually run a health care program...each province is responsible for its own...

Province rights come first as it is down here.

NO ... gross (not adjusted) is what I am hearing.

Who cares anyway, 2.5% is going to be the least of the problem.

Falligator, I went through this too but I found BCBS always insured me. Atena dropped me after 5 months when I already was a subscriber after they sent out their questionnaire. I agree this should have been done but it could have been either sperate, before withtout the BS or done through the states with some prodding by the feds.

This is in no way the republicans bill. It is the democrats bill with many many republican amendments and suggestions ignored and not included. I am SICK at the thought of the SCUM in DC who did this. It is no good for anyone.

You're funny OVM, your 2011 taxes will be higher (that's written in stone) and there will be less deduction if this congress gets their way.

Well Leo, get your fellow countrymen in Texas to push for a recall amendment or repeal the 17th amendment.
