We eat mostly fruit and vegetables, including a variety of dried fruits. We will buy our food at WaMart on the road. We make sandwiches with whole grain bread and low fat/sodium lunch meats. Unless it's pouring down rain or a blizzard, we walk 45 minutes a day, often times that means walking the full circumference of the truckstop or WalMart parking lot 6 or more times. It works for us. We maintain our weight, my blood sugar stays level, and our blood pressures and cholesterol levels are at the low end of healthy. For us, the walking also clears our heads, breaks up the monotony.
We drink a lot of water and in the heat we munch a lot of ice.
