Nobody that realizes and acknowledges that this sort of modification is akin to waving a huge red flag while screaming "over here, come hassle and ticket me!".

Zane, drivers of trucks that are DOT compliant don't want to attract DOT attention, Drivers of CMVs that aren't DOT compliant want to keep it that way i.e. we don't want any DOT attention. If they don't know we exist, that would be primo. So it's best to not do anything to attract their attention.

I just got back with it. He's on his flight now.

Go steal the flip doors off an old t-bird and mod them in to your grill. No headlights at all till you turn them on.

Just about any ford/linc/merc had flip lights in the 70's.
