I don't run hazmat at C&M. From what I understand there are a lot of extra requirements for a company to do it, yet customers don't want to pay any additional costs for it. Sort of micro-economics 101. From a driver's standpoint it's bothersome, and even a bit scary with all the little "rules" and fines for them the DOT can come up with. As Joebon stated, many smaller companies don't bother with it. If seeking a CDL, I would still go ahead and get the hazmat license endorcement, so you don't have to "close any doors" for employment.
